Directing - Week 10: Lighting

Image
Wednesday 13th December Below are the photos I took of each of the separate lights to define what each light was, the different lighting states on my set and some of my ideas for each location.  "Woods" state  "Field" state - Alexis in one of Leah/Rachel's positions  "Field" state - a Leah position in Deja-vu monologue  "Field" state - Phil position  "Street" state - Lou position. Decided to move her position down onto the 1st riser to distinguish between locations a bit more clearly for the audience. "Street" state - Danny Position This is a simple diagram I made for myself to show which lights each of the sliders were rigged up to, to help with my cues. By numbering each slider and annotating each light type I could write out the numbers for each state and visualise it more clearly. Photo Gallery by QuickGallery.com Images of the separate lights. Directing - Week 7: Transitions

Image
Wednesday 22nd November On Thursday this week, me and Neena spent a couple of hours after school working on her two monologues. She needed the script for a few prompts but overall was pretty confident with the lines, allowing us to work more easily on how she delivered them and how, where and when she moved and I'm really happy with the progress we made working on the monologues together. Neena captures the energy and comedic element of Leah's character amazingly well, as well as the variety of emotions and thoughts Leah switches between and Neena's Leah feels very genuine, thoughtful and likeable which I think are important aspects of her character. Below are videos of our final run through of each monologue after we'd worked on it and pictures of Neena's script with direction annotated on.   Neena's annotated script - Deja-vu Monologue Neena's annotated script from direction - Running Away monologue Link: https://you...
